From a nice little lot I got on ebay. Quite a few of them are munged, but still, it's neat to see them in quantity.

If you find any DT's on these you should jump up and down, they are pretty scarce.

Munged really should be a proper philatelic term.

'Munged', is that the same as 'munted' in New Zealand?

MUNG..... acronym, or more correctly, backronym for Mash Until No Good. Created by the Tech Model Railroad Club at MIT in 1960. So munged is mashed until no good. Niiiice stamps by the way. Lots of fun to sort through.

Why, the film is rated PG-13. If the thread name and accompanying remarks are allowed then a 25 year old bit from the film should be allowed. It's not as if 99.999999999% of the people who will read this thread haven't seen it already.

I love the number 15 and buy it whenever I can. If I had found that lot for auction I would've been your competing bidder.

It was buried in a larger lot description; easy to miss. It came with several other envelopes of early Canada (mostly hundreds of small queens in various denominations), some low-denomination Jubilees, some Newfoundland, and about $300 face of mint 1c-6c era Candian postage (including some nice inscription and plate blocks that might be worth a premium).

All for less than the face amount of the Canadian postage.

Face value lots are great places to find extra goodies. I once got a set of Lindner hingeless albums with pages from 1953 to 2008 plus an almost complete collection of MNH in that era for less than the face value of just the stamps. I already had Volume 1 to cover the pages from 1851-1952, so it was a perfect match for me.

Wow the 5-cent beaver is one of my favorite stamps. I have a dozen or so, but I would love to get my hands on a pile like that!
