Eaton's skate (Bathyraja eatonii), a miniature sheet designed and engraved by French artist Claude Jumelet (1946- ), and issued for use in French Southern and Antarctic Territories on January 1, 1999, Scott No. 249.

Set of six, one stamp shows thornback ray (Raja clavata).
The thornback ray is found in coastal waters of Europe and the Atlantic coast of Africa, possibly as far south as Namibia and South Africa.

The bluespotted ribbontail ray is common throughout the tropical Indian and western Pacific Oceans in nearshore, coral reef-associated habitats.
