I might have a few in a box somewhere. What color do you need?
I also have the following (remember these?)
punch card pin sorter
keypunch card saw
box carriage control tape
carriage control tape punch
binary card overlay
RPG layout card
green card (everybody's favorite, could not do without it)
I started on a IBM 1620 with Fortran I.
Isn't it amazing that we pretty much "invented the world" on 4K to 32K machines. Today programmers cannot do anything in less than a gigabyte and a terabyte hard drive.
Interesting tidbit (if my math is right) using 2311 disk packs at 7.5 M each:
1 gigabyte = 136 disk packs
1 Terabyte = 139,819 disk packs
I worked on an 1130 that had a single 2315 drive. Each disk held 1,024 bytes (512 16 bit words) so in that case:
1 gigabyte = 1,048,576 disk packs
1 terabyte = 1,073,741,824 disk packs
We have come a long way.
