This just in.. A lot from Goodwill comprised of many glassines and envelopes. Which were the reason I looked in the first place. While others were bidding 80+ on albums, I saw a glut of who knows what. As it turns out it was one mans collection in California. I only know this from the notations made on some envelopes, adresses, oh, and his VFW card from June 1963. There is a metal photo, and his business card.

You'll recoup all your money just flipping the Dennison hinges. The stamps will be free.

No matter what you find, it looks like fun.

I will post details of the envelope contents after I recover getting the MNH 1990 RW57 Duck Stamp. That just paid for the lot. There are plenty of WW. A lot of Germany, Belgique, Italia, Greece, Nippon Japan. I love the old stamp company envelopes. I feel very good about this score. I doubt there are any million.... Wait.. That one say 4 millionen, and that one says 10 millionen. Gotta love the Deutches Reich in 1923

the packet of hinges had been opened. Anyone have one unopened they can weigh? I would hate to have to count them! Then again, I dont know if my scale would be able to weight the difference of a hundred or so.

Here's a packet revenuecollector might enjoy.

How about some Germany.

It does look like you have found some real keepers!

I love the old envelopes with 20 cents for 10 stamps.

I like the old Harris packets - it's not very often that you find them intact. They're a part of stamp collecting history!

An intact LVF set catalogs for €30 MNH, and typically sells for about €15-€20.
