http://www.dc3history.org/airworthysurvivors.html will give you an overview of some of the DC-3s still flying Many are available to ride. Personally, I was fortunate to ride in the C47 version of this fine old bird in the late 90's at the Mount Comfort Air Show in Indianapolis. There are at least three DC 3s privately owned and flying here in Indiana.

Look at "Fly The Ford" and "Aluminum Overcast" on the Experimental Aviation Association web sites for a chance to tour and ride in a Ford Trimotor and B17 respectively. Both can be found on stamps in the series previously mentioned showing the DC 3.

On June 2, 1988 Finland issued a souvenir sheet (Facit BL4 1054-7) with four stamps for the Finlandia 88 Stamp Exhibition. The stamps feature recess and offset-printed aircraft of Finland's aviation history. One of these stamps (Facit 1056), shown here, depicts a 1947 Aero O/Y (Finnair) DC-3.

From wikipedia, "In 1923, consul Bruno Lucander founded Finnair as Aero O/Y....The Finnish government wanted longer routes, so it acquired a majority stake in the company in 1946 and re-established services to Europe in November 1947, initially using the Douglas DC-3."

Pic shows a Finnair DC-3 restored in 2014.
