Hello :)

First of all, sorry but these are NOT the famous Blue and Red Mauritius "Post Office" stamps, I know that much ;) What I don't know, is which of the later Mauritius stamps they are, so I am hoping someone with a bit more knowledge can help me. I don't even have a Mauritius catalog to find out which ones exist and how they all look. What I know is that the Blue one might be a "Lapirot" but then again I could be completely wrong.

Thank you for any help :)

Fools rush in...

If I had to guess, I would say late worn plates for both of them.
1859 Scott 14Bd? 1p blue (worn impression) CV $700, but less as the design is cut into..

1848 Scott 3ef? 1p brownish red CV $600

For a "real" evaluation, and to rule out forgeries, have them certified.

O.K. who is next?

The 2d. is a late printing Lapirot, the 1d. is an intermediate printing.

What do they like on the other side,

Pagoda
