I have a friend who is like me doesn't know much about stamps and he wanted to estimate the value of some french stamps that they have

Hi aboauf,

Unfortunately, not a whole lot of value. Most of these used stamps are cataloged at $0.20 to $0.50 which means they are actually worth about $0.05 each. The Mint 373 (if it is actually Mint with gum on the back), is more in the $10.00 range, which, again, means that you could get about $3.00 for that one. Sorry that I couldn't give you any better news.

thanks man I am not expecting anything I am just new and starting to learn how to read scott catalogues so I asked for more experienced opinion

Inexpensive, but still collectible. Nice socked-on-the-nose cancel, first scan bottom row.

Heartily agree to both of these comments. I collect France also, and though not many of value, definitely enjoy the beauty of that countries offerings.
