Fleet Cancel

Hi All

Last week my wife and I went to the Muskoka Wharf to get samples of the latest "Muskoka Fleet" cancellations.

For anyone in this forum who may at some time in the future want to take a trip on one of these steamers, it would be worth your while to get some strikes of this cancel yourselves. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and quite helpful. She said she would get the cancels clear and only on the corner of the stamp and, she was true to her word.

What I didn't know was that they also have a personalized stamp with part of the fleet on it too. It cost me more to mail it than it normally would but I figured it was worth it. It was 90 cents postage for each card (plus the cost of the cards as well).
The smaller version card is a reprint of an older one that came out around the end of WW I.

I have scanned the cards as well as an example of the cancel. This cancel will also go in to my files too as a new type.

It is amazing to see lake steamers. I wish I was travelling still.

That is a great looking personal stamp (picture Postage) that you have. may I show it on the 2012 picture postage thread here at SCF as well as the Pictorial philatelic cancel on a new thread, not started, about these types of cancels please?
