What's on your philatelic wish list or want list? You just never know where or when that stamp or other philatelic item that you have been wanting and/or looking for might just be around the corner at any time. Do tell us.

A Penny Black is number One on my list. Some other gaping holes, here and there, but GB 1 is the one. |

What I would love to have is a couple of Scott's albums that had spaces for all of the stamps I have - and will ever own.

At this very moment, I would love US #237-240 MNH and I'll take #241-245 MLH! I'm even willing to pay original fv and postage! Oh, I also want the backs of the stamps to be perfect, no thins, tears, disturbed gum, etc. Really, is that too much to wish for? |

My wish/want list is very long! But if I could wiggle my nose and get a couple of stamps, they would be US Scott 2 and 39; and DDR Mi Dienst A/31 (either wmk) [No Scott equivalent #] Dan |

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example. I collect for enjoyment, not investment. APS Member #223433 Postmark Collectors Club Member #6333 Meter Stamp Society Member #1409 |

I just sent off bids for nice, unused, copies of Angola #116 and #176 that are in a mail auction closing near the end of this month. |

Nice items you all want. Please let us know if your wishes come true so I can wish a bit harder ! I have a bucket list of sorts, which I made after a recent visit of South African friends. One item on the list is to visit the USA in 2014 and see as many Stamp Collecting buddies as I am able in the time allotted as well as getting to a show or three. There are however, a couple of stamps on that same list that I would dearly love to own...but most likely never will. But I will always be looking. It is going to be the hardest item to cross off from the Bucket list ! In 1890, a Stamp Exhibition was held in the Portman Rooms, Baker Street, London. It is one of the earliest known Stamp Exhibitions. It was at this show that the Worlds Press were told that the Prince of Wales [Later KGV] was a Stamp Collector. Brown and Blue Unissued Mauritius 'Britannia' stamps were overprinted 'LPE 1890' at the show and perforated by the Printers, Perkins Bacon. Exist perf, Imperf [Blue], Double Overprint [Blue] and Tete-Beche Pairs [blue]. Total 2,700 ! [Ack: British Stamp Exhibitions, Morgan & Wilson] One day, One Day....... Londonbus1 |

Me I have many realistic wishes like Europa 2007 complete year "scouts". I also nead the Bluenose for my tall ships collection. I miss 2 or 3 stamps for my Expo 67 collection (easy to get). But most of all I wish I have a good income to satisfy all my needs. Ok I confess. Those wishes stated are just the tip of the iceberg, underneath the water there are so many unrealistic ones. I keep them for myself in my dreams. Londonbus Don't tell your wife but in Montreal we have the most beautiful girls in America. There is also 3 stamps dealers when you need to catch your breath. If you prefer mature women one of the dealer is open for good offers. I mean for stamps... There is all kind of shows also including stamps shows. They are not huge ones but could be interesting. I'm still working on my goal to collect 100,000 different stamps. I'm up to 82,000 different so hopefully in the next couple years I will get there! |
