Every once and awhile I come across a classic old time philatelically oriented comic strip. Here's my entry for today:

I've only recently discovered the PICKLES strip. I've been reading it a couple months and I love it.

Very clever author. Thanks for sharing this one.

This was both timely and funny.
Amazed that you managed to find this

It reminded me of what I believe is a real story of a widow who found her deceased husband collection of stamps, and in particular a few on a cover (i want to say that they were black). Anyways, the story goes that she called a dealer, described the rarity and he said that he would be right over.
when he arrived, he was stunned to find that she had scissor cut them all neatly off in a pile (turning the perforated stamps) into nice straight imperforates.

i have to find this story, either true or modern myth
