I am trying to make a comprehensive collection of all the Portugal & Colonies Ceres Issues. The Scott catalog does a VERY poor job listing these so I am using the Stanley Gibbons Part 9 Portugal & Spain catalog and the Afinsa catalog. Has anyone compiled a cross-reference for these issues to either of these catalogs to Scott?

Antman: I have complete collections of all major varieties of Ceres stamps (1914-1926) for all the colonies, including "odd ones" like Tete. I have comprehensive collections of the Angola and Mozambique sets, including many errors, shades, and other varieties. I have not tried to correlate between my older copy (2002) of Afinsa and Scott. I don't use Gibbons.

I also have the Portugal Ceres complete (Scott #207-298) with shades and a few other odds 'n ends.

I thought that Scott had expanded the listings of the Portugal Ceres issues for the current Classic catalog; and was planning to also expand the colonial Ceres issues in the edition that comes out late this year. Perhaps someone who has the current Classic can confirm or deny. I'm due to get the new Classic when it comes out in November; I upgrade about every three years, since it is my primary Scott catalog.
