I recieved this in the mail yesterday. It is attached with a serrated perforation to a newsletter sent out by a local member of Parliament, this part being a request for comments.

As usual for our members of Parliament, there is no postage charged for the mail. Good to keep the country running smoothly and all.

Overall size of the piece of paper (not an envelope) with a comments form to fill out on the reverse, is 28.5 x 14.7 cm or 11-1/4 x 5-7/8 inches.

From and to the National (oops) New Democratic Party or NDP, one of the major political parties in Canada.

Is there a catalogue number or designation for such an item please?

First time I have seen this type.

I am not certain if it will ever qualify to be listed in the Webb's Postal Stationery Catalogue either?

Election covers are listed but not certain what category this would come under outside of 'political'.

Nice one Puzzler. Those are definitely collectable I think. Maybe you should write to her and ask for all the used ones she gets back!

Neat idea. Couldn't hurt. I wonder if they get cancelled at all, being free postage and all.

Would I have to pay any postage there do you think?

Folks, this is nothing unless you collect NDP items.

All of us could print or write "Np Postage Required" on al letter mailed to a Member of Parliament when the House is in session (a few days after and before a sitting as well).

I collect mail to and from MPs. This would be collectible for me if it were used.

This is not postal stationery that would be included in the Webb catalogue. It is not related to election envelopes.

I hope the MP does not send used forms to a collector. This would be violate the privacy of the MP's constituents.

Many of these forms are questionnaires. I have filled them out and I never put my return address on them. I do not see a problem with those going to collectors.
