I picked up this little box of stamps at a flea market near my home. Hopefully there will be a gem! I have looked through a bit and found quite a few non-US. I am not familiar at all with foreign stamps so I know I will need some help.

Great to rummage thru and perhaps find something worthwhile. I am still going thru a large plastic bag I got from a charity shop for 50 pence when I find a spare moment or three. So far I have sorted out the high GB high values (£1 to £5) and found a complete set of 1992 Castles and the 1997 Enschede castles set... all in VFU condition too.
I can see one GB Wilding definitive amongst your lot... happy hunting!

Yes, I am looking forward to it. I only bought this box for $2 dollars so my investment is low. I have already seen many GB stamps but I know nothing about them and I don't collect any stamps from other countries outside the US. They will most likely be put up for sale.

Look out for the higher denominated stamps. Those tend to be the ones with higher value if you are scanning but not familiar with countries. Maybe there are some pound and euro and mark stamps in there for you?

I like to search for perfins. Normally 1 in every 500-10000. Depending on country and timeframe. But I never know what to price my loose stamps at. The one's below $1 SCV that I sell for 20 cents each for lotting them. How much would you spend on 10,000 US or Canadian or GB common stamps. I have been searching for Falkland islands kiloware and South Georgia. But can't find any. Also whats the average # of stamps off paper in a pound.

Joe, suggest you search on ebay for kiloware lots similar to what you want to sell, then select the "completed listings" in the search options. That will give you an idea of the price point that actually sells.

Would be tough to find Falkland/Georgia kiloware I imagine. There is a gorgeous 6oz lot of high values postally used from Pacific Islands on ebay right now, 12 bids at $88 so far.
