Check out this ebay lot: http://www.ebay.com/itm/17110566858...t_1159wt_722Looks like a new set of NHL stamps is forthcoming. It seems that post offices have their stock of these (booklets and coils) ... but they are not to be released until September. Somebody was able to buys these very early (at least two weeks). Notice that the stamp(s) is denominated with 63 cents, instead of the Permanent(tm) logo. Is Canada Post giving up on Permanent(tm) stamps? Is this the surprise issue that was alluded to in the July-August 2013 Details magazine? |

This may be a surprise issue, but I don't think it is the one that is referred to by Jim Phillips in his July-August 2013 Details column as "our special 'super heroic, true Canadian'" issue.
Although only the 7 Canadian NHL teams are getting stamps (sounds like 3 for each team: booklet, coil, and in a souvenir sheet), I would not consider anything to do with the NHL as "super heroic".
There must another surprise issue coming in September... |

Canada Post just add 75e Anniversary of "Superman" in website : With Post Cards ; Coil ; 5 different cover of booklet ; Souvenir Sheet ; and Uncut sheet, of course. Have fun! |

....Gilles, the sun is shining and we're having a beautiful summer here in Prince George, BC. ...and yes it is great that the 'new' prince is named after our fair city. We are gearing up to host the 2015 Canada Winter Games ... Quebec has just completed a successful 2013 edition. I'm sure our Mayor will invite the Prince to help us celebrate the games. We're also preparing a celebration of the City's 100 birthday in 2015.
So all is well here and thanks for asking..........
