Austria 1917-1920 Newspapers stamps. Very common and low value.

Agree with Cursus about monetary value. But, part of the fun of stamp collecting is finding unusual items like these.

Cursus is correct about the value, but those are special handling stamps, for printed matter only (which I guess could include newspapers). Scott's lists them separately form newspaper tax stamps.
The 2 heller value on the lower right (1917) was issued under the monarchy. The Deutschosterreich overprint indicates the Republic. The 2 and 5 heller, with overprint are 1919 while the 50 heller surcharge from 1921. Inflation!

Nice looking stamps though. I do like the early Austrian designs. I have a small side collection of them going. One day I may take them more seriously.
