Can someone please explain what a circuit book is and how it works? Also how does one get involved? Thank you!

A very simple explanation would be "solicited approvals" - stamp assortments sent to you with the option to buy or return or forward to another collector. I suspect there are lots of pro/con opinions out there about this.

The APS Sales Circuits work something like this: The APS will send you, Darkoath say 10-11 sales books of US Used, you mark in the book what you've bought fill out a sales report. You'll send the sales report and $ back to the APS and forward the sales books to mobilman44 and he will do the same and send to salesbooks to me, I'll pick what I want out of the "leftovers" & send the sales report and salesbooks back to the APS. Note: the circuits I get from the APS presently usually sent in a circuit usually has 5 or 6 people in a circuit. You have up to seven days to decide what to buy before you send the sales circuit onto the next person/APS.

What are the prices like for the APS approval circuits? I have found that most stamps on approval are actually priced higher than the Scott catalog value. I am guessing that with the APS the prices will probably be much better since this sounds like a service that can be used by members. I just joined the APS in July!

Darkoath, I have found that the APS salesbooks are (usually) very reasonable. Every once and in a while someone is very proud of their stamps but this is in my opinion an exception. Also, with the latest changes the USPS has made in regards to shipping the mailing has gotten a bit more reasonable!

If you're an APS member, also check out the APS Stamp Store. I've gotten some good stuff out of it; sold some unneeded items; and no hassling with the forwarding of mail. Also no hassling with ebay sellers.
