My most recent acquisition, although not yet in hand. I was mainly interested in the York, PA duplex with a "3". All the other postmarks and hotel names are bonuses.

My guess is that it was mailed in Springfield, MASS on April ??; by RPO April 18; to Lebanon, PA received on April ??; forwarded to Lancaster, PA received on April 19; forwarded to York, PA received on April 19 and lastly forwarded to Hagerstown, MD received on April, 2? where he apparently had not yet moved on to another hotel.

The Colonial Hotel in York was a classy hotel at the time so I can imagine Mr Gridley may have been a successful traveling man in whatever his profession may have been. (The hotel still stands but its glory days have long passed.)
