I used to collect stamps as a kid but then quit this beautiful hobby so I know nothing about stamps.
I have got some stamps and would like to find out more info about them, if any is rare, and what value would you put on the lot, to see if they are worth listing to sell as I would like them to get to a good home.
This is a mixed lot from the 1930s and 40s. Most of it has no special value, some have values of 1 to 2 US$ acc. to Scott. The "Zomerzegel 1950" stamps and the 20 ct "Voor Het Kind" on the second to last picture are the most interesting ones of the lot. The 4ct green and the two 20 ct stamps have catalogue values of $13.00 so you may get a few dollars for these. Other than the catalogue value would suggest, these stamps are not really very rare, so you'd be lucky if you managed to get 25% of the c.v. for it (that is for the stamps valued > $2, the rest you can probably only sell grouped together for a few dollars).
Thank you very much for your answer Jan-Simon. If anyone is interested in these stamps, I am willing to let them go. 30 dollars for all would it be a fair price? I prefer USA buyers.
You won't be allowed to sell on this site until you have many more posts, but if you were to list this on ebay with a $0.99 start, you might get a few bids. I'd be surprised if it fetched more than a few dollars, though. Sorry...
I have to agree with others that the whole lot would get just a few dollars ,maybe two or three dollars many are damaged or stained .Being photographed on a brown background hides some of the brown stains .
I think it would be useful if these stamps are all sorted out in terms of the year they are published which can be obtained from catalogs listing stamps from Nederland. Year, watermark if any and perforation. You can also contact companies directly in the US such as Mystic Stamp Company which deals with stamps from all over the world. But if you have a small quantity, it would be better to get it through on ebay.
