I'm going to New York this week, and have some free time.

Any of you Canadian collectors know of a few good stores where I might drop by and find some Newfoundland covers or stamps?

Thanks

While in Manhattan I went to Champion Stamp Store. http://www.championstamp.com/stampstore.htm

They have a lot of variety.

My one thing that bugged me about this store was they had to buzz me in and buzz me out. I hate feeling like I was locked inside the place so that uneasiness meant I didn't buy anything. It also made browsing feel awkward as well.

Are you passing by the Albany, New York area? There is a dealer near the city (off of I-90 on the east side) who has a store and one of his specialities is Newfoundland covers. He sells stamps too.

It's George McGowan. This link is to the monthly show that has his name and that of a number of other dealers who attend it. You can contact him via phone or email for when his shop is open and directions.

Battlestamps,

Thanks but too late and too far... I was only in Manhattan for the week.

I did go by Champion (thanks to that suggestion above!), and it was solid. A lot of material to view. I bought 4 Newfoundland covers.

Cheers
