If the scan is too small ,I can always scan it in sections if that helps . This flyer came with the 20 sheet of the dark blue stamps you shown above . Now I got to redo my album page which has it in four colors and four blocks of twenty .

Sorry floortrader. That's still too small for me to make out most of it.

OK. The font is a real bear.

It appears that the association between the stamps and the Fliegerheim hotel and restaurant is just a coincidence. They were published by the Fliegerheim des Deutschen Luftflotten-Vereins in Berlin for the purpose of raising money for an old-airman's home.

Title is Fliegerheim, the German Air Force Association.

Quote:
The extraordinary successes of our pilots and aviation personnel in the east and west, both on the water and on the land, have now thoroughly convinced the greatest doubters of the necessity of a powerful air force, and all the hearty hearts are thanked for the brave airmen who unconditionally surrendered their lives, and for the heroes who are still ready to sacrifice health and their life for the German Fatherland and for all.

Can we bear witness to this gratefulness more than if we were to create for them a Flyer's Home, a beautiful patch of German soil where they can find recovery from their wounds and hardships? A home in which invalids and old airmen can also sneak a caring evening after a stormy life.

The association, which is based on a successful 7-year activity, does not want to replace the assistance of the state, but only serve as a supplement when absolutely necessary in instances when the state cannot adequately help.

The Army and Navy have recreational and recovery centers for the members of their services. For the Air Force this has not yet been done. It is newest service in the world, which only in this war has come into existence and earned the respect of the whole world. No former member's association exists which could help.

So we turn withe everlasting thanks to the German people, to you German men and German women! Give your best to everyone.

For the enclosed series of our war collections, consisting of original designs by the graphic artist Eugen Willoner, Berlin - we ask for the minimum amount of 1 Mark.

Interesting thread. Here is a cinderella/label from the late 1920's-early 1930's protesting the restriction on German aviation. Some time ago I believe I read that Germany got around these sanctions by moving their aeronautic research out of the country.

Fascinating journey, I'll rehouse my page under Germany,
I thought Bavaria for the labels similarity in design and print.

Super effort at collecting more information on these. This makes me interested in pulling mine together into one place. It's been a little while since I have come across any new ones.
