I got a small group of these from a dealers box of 'cheapies'. I thought they were quite interesting nonetheless.

With some of the designs, I am thinking of putting a few in my martial arts collection with the Samurai on horseback <G>.

Your last is a 1957 New Year Lottery card. They're still being issued: I usually get one each New Year, from a Japanese company I do some work for.

Great tonymacg.

You must have a nice assortment. I wonder, are they all as ornate as the one I scanned?

Zipper, glad you like them. Usually at a show, I will buy specialized material for the areas I collect, but, this time I went nuts in a couple of dealer's 'cheapie' boxes and, it has created hours of work sorting and researching. Came out with some surprises too on the $$ values as well. Glad I did this. Some nice items to add to my collection plus good trading material as well.

Here's a more recent New Year Lottery card from Japan:

Really, not all that much changed over the last 50 years

Nice one Tonymacg

Up to only 3 or 4 years ago, I wasn't aware of such a thing. Since then, I have seen different types.

I will have to keep an eye out for more of these.
