Hi folks - I'm new on here but not new to collecting. I'm getting my ww collection up to snuff and want to combine the pages for Scott International Parts 1, 2, 3 & 4. Parts 2, 3 & 4 have been re-edited so the country pages can be intermingled without having other counties on the backs of pages and thus, out-of-order. Unfortunately I have an older part 1 which has not been re-edited to allow for this. Can someone please tell me if the newest version of Part 1 has been re-edited to fix this problem? About my only recourse is to order a part 1 and check it myself, but i'm sure someone here can answer this. Will appreciate.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum. I am in your situation as well. I believe the newer editions of part 1 are divided appropriately. However, do not take my word for it as I am not absolutely certain. I do know that it is rather expensive.

I have several thousand stamps nicely mounted in Part 1, and awhile back attempted to merge it with part 2. Many of the countries worked "ok", but as a whole, it was a mess. So now I keep the parts separate.

Curious to see how your situation works out!

The Part I version (actually markeded as four sub-parts) now sold by Amos/Scott- the Big Blue 1840-`1940 '97 edition- is indeed split up (Countries starting on a new page,) so one can integrate with a newer Part II-III-IV etc. Agree it is $$$.

Yup, just as I remembered.........

In order to successfully merge all the parts, a newer part 1 is needed. Every once in awhile they are on ebay - either as a whole or one or more of the four parts.

If you have the money to spend, I would buy a new Part 1. I've given it some thought, but the idea of moving all those stamps is a bit too much. Sooo, I will do my best to be content with the separate Parts.............
