It's a long time in the future, but has anyone any thoughts about going to this Exhibition ? Or would they be prepared to make a plan ? I am thinking of getting together a group of Internet Stamp forum members to meet at the show. No details yet but am trying to drum up interest. http://www.london2015.net/Londonbus1

Hi Londonbus1,
I would definitely be interested in that. It would be really nice to meet some of the people behind the posts. Pencil me in.

I will be at the show most if not all days, I suspect, so am happy to meet-up in-between my shifts as a volunteer.

Michael,
One of the draw backs to this particular show is that only European exhibitors can enter the competition. Or, at least that's my reading of the rules the last time I took a look. I realize that might not be important to many, but I think that is unnecessary and a shame.

It is primarily a European exhibition, but as I read the regulations It is open to members of societiies affiliated to member federations of FEPA who have previously been awarded a Vermeil medal, quite a high standard. Alternatively applicacants who wish to exhibit and cannot satisfy these conditions can have their exhibit attested to for the minimum standard for entry by accepted societies. The regulations mention exhibits put in from other countries, but I can see no specific bar on non-European entrants. Perhaps someone here has more info on this. I just want to go and admire the exhibits.

The position as to whether non-European's can enter the show is explained on the website. Go to http://www.london2015.net/ then hover over the "Exhibition" tab and then "eligibility". IDHABER, as you are clearly keen on exhibiting in London can I suggest that you contact, say, the American Philatelic Society, who I am sure can advise you on what US societies are affiliated to FEPA, for some are bound to be in a country as large as yours. Or contact FEPA directly at jrgen@jrgensen.dk for their advice, for they will obviously be able to advise on who their American members are. GLENN |

It's getting closer now isn't it ! I have just booked my flights to the UK and plan to be in or around London for the duration of the Exhibition. Anyone thinking of going ? Anyone up for a 'stamp meet', Beer, Meal or all three ! Not long to go..... |

Opening day Admission Ticket has arrived which makes me feel it's getting closer ! Courtesy of some nice folk at the Cinderella Stamp Club whose meeting I will be attending on that first day. Looks like no one will be going from the SCF ! |
