So, My name was on a list at my FAV thrift store for Trains and Stamps. A guy calls and says he has a stamp album. Im excited so I venture down there to look. Nothing special just one of those red hard bound world stamp albums. It had a few, so In the spirit of keeping in good I bought it for 20 bucks, (only about $5 buck worth actually) and he say there's a bunchh more upstairs that he needs to go through. Then he asks If I'd like to see 'em. (dumb question right?) So up we go and I see this;

Of course I get all twitterpated, (like thumper did when he saw the she rabbit....LOL) And we thumb through the top album. Not too much there. But we move the boxes around and I notice some covers and more albums. I say to him I'll give a hundred for the LOT!!
He tells me he'll get back to the next week.
Im on the edge of my seat waiting. Then it happens! This morning he calls and says "Im calling to make your day" Now, mind you Im at work, Im stuck!!
Right after work I go get this pile of treasure hunting!
It starts out like.... Oh, I'll just show you. I've only previewed the mess. I have much work to do.

Nice little haul there. If you do not collect them you really need to contact Londonbus on the 1940 London Stamp Centenary Exhibit.

Thanks for sharing.
I would be interested in any Newfoundland stamps (either to help you classify/value them)

thanks guys, Its going great right now. There are a bunch of blocks of 10 for Tchad and Congo. Someone like the Olympics a lot. I have decided to start a space topical.
There are so many souvenir sheets!
I'm gonna do some scans today. I think I'll sell off the blocks.

Great hoard to examine.

I see some Canada stamps still on paper that may have the cancels on them that I am interested in , POCONs, 6-digit numbers, plus lots of other fun interesting stuff to go through and apprecate and look up.

Good buy.

It was the last photo on page 2. I noticed a Canada stamp on paper in a bag in the center of the photo. Couldn't see if it had any cancel on it but it was the correct era. Maybe other in that bag are interesting also? Or envelopes / covers in the picture?
