Since I collect early stamps from both the United States and Canada because they share at times common printers and other characteristics, I cannot help but find interesting parallels between the Christopher Columbus Issue with the Victoria Jubilee Issue as well as the Washington-Franklin Issue with the George V Admiral Issue. Anyone else?

Yes, it is beautiful. The 1897 set cost alot of money back then with a new issue price of (in 1897 currency) sixteen dollars, twenty and a half cents for the complete set of Jubilees - about $421 in today's dollars. Did Canada reissue the set in the 2012 Diamond Jubilee set? I seem to remember there was some talk about it a few years ago.
