I love the reader comment about whether the gadget will send you a signal about where your mailbox is 10 or so blocks down the road when
the snow plow hits it and drags it away from your house!

Given FCC restrictions on the transmitter, probably not be able to signal you from 10 blocks away unless there is a convenient open hot spot within range. Apparently the inventor is not aware of IR technology for night vision as used in surveilence cameras.
