Paypal is required to be accepted by sellers but it's not mandatory to use it as a buyer. Of course they want you to because they get fees and % from every transaction. And you are also not allowed to even mention in your listing that you accept checks/cash/mo. You basically have to wait for a buyer to ask if it's OK.
Make sure any check clears obviously and money orders can be fraudulent as well. Be especially careful on high dollar sales. I doubt you'd get a phony check or money order on a 10 dollar purchase...
I was selling higher end items by Cheque. Over $1000. If you ever have a conflict on a item over $1000. Paypal will freeze your account no matter how good your record is. I had over $5000 in cash in paypal frozen once. Someone thought shipping should be overnight. When it stated 10 days for registered. The Reg # was inputed. Anyhow. Just my 2 cents and US stamps over 100 years old I here can freeze your account. And all the other "bad" countries eg. Sudan, NK and Cuba+ others.
