The difference in dot size has nothing to do with determining a genuine or forgery for this stamp. Please do not make things up. The points noted by danko have everything to do with determining genuineness. Those are the important points to consider as determined by experts that have studied this stamp and its forgeries and were not chosen at random.
Nothing wrong with roller cancels to me. It's the normal and I would say expected cancel type used on high values that are typically used for parcels. There are collectors that prefer a CDS-type cancel, whose use is much scarcer, hence the price difference shown in catalogs.
