As most of you know, I try to moderate the BUY/TRADE and SALES PROMOTION threads.

I've been away for a while, so I've just finished some overdue housekeeping.

As a reminder, when the "WANTED to BUY" and "WANTED to TRADE" threads go 3 MONTHS with no activity, I move them to the ENDED section of the board.

There is no rule against reposting -- hopefully the original poster will update and edit the content. And reposting brings the threads back onto the active list.

In the PROMOTION thread, I move threads to ENDED when I see the item has sold or when ebay tells me the 'seller has no items.'

Anyway, all of this is done to try and keep the content fresh and timely. If I 'end' your thread, I'm not picking on you

I'm not seeing a way to revive a thread in the ended section. By "reposting" do you mean starting a new thread on the same topic, or is there some way to update an ended thread that I'm missing?

MrEos:

Yes, you can create a new thread with an updated/similar topic. When I move a thread to ENDED, the original poster (OP) gets an email from the board with a link to the thread that was ended.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year..."

I have performed my sporadically recurring quarterly cleaning of the Buy/Sell/Trade forums."

if you received an email that your thread has been "ended," now would be a good time to update, revise, and make a new list.
