Singapore 2017 150th Anniversary of 1st postage stamps in Singapore. The complete set comprises 5 stamps, the other stamp-on-stamp example has been posted before, the other 3 stamps illustrate cancelled stamps on envelops.  |

This 1955 East German label advertises the German Philatelists' meeting in Zwickau. The rare "3 pfennig red" stamp of Saxony is depicted on the label. Interestingly, neither horizontal nor vertical perforations are quite parallel.  |

These 1997 stamps from Mauritius commemorate the 150th anniversary of the issuance of the country's famous "Post Office" stamps. An earlier posting on this thread (page 2) shows the 1947 George VI definitive incorporating the one penny "Post Office" stamp in its design.  |

In 1995, Singapore issued a set of 4 stamps commemorating the end end of World War II. The two lower values of the set feature 2 stamps from the 1945 Malaya (British Military Administration) set.  |

I don't think this one has been posted here previously. A Search for "Nauru" had no hits. This stamp commemorates 60 years of Nauru stamps. Of interest is that the 50c stamp shows a Specimen copy of the original Nauru 5 shillind stamp, and the 15c value shows the original 6 pence stamp with the variety NAUPU.  |

Sir William Mulock lived a long and very active life. He died in 1944 at age 101. In 1898, when the famous Christmas stamp was issued, one of his jobs was Postmaster General.  |
