hello my name is roscoe and I came aross a 1 cent british guiana with all four corners on it really want to know if its a fake or the real deal , could anyone help me thanks for looking and if you like I can send you a email of a pic of it (i have 2 pics)thank you everybody
Don't get your hopes up. There are plenty of reproductions. Post a pic front/back and also describe where it came from (i.e., what kind of collection/album you found it in).
roscoe, you apparently have a digital copy in order to offer sending a photo in an email. Please upload the photo to this forum and someone here will at least attempt to be able to help you. But you must upload the photo.
We would need an image from either a scanner or even a high quality photograph to even think about saying something. It's always possible but highly improbable. Best of luck though!
Since the OP has not provided a pic, I'll show the fake British Guiana 1-cent magenta (with all four corners intact) from my collection.
Also, here's part of a news article from a local NJ newspaper regarding the last sale of the stamp in 1980. Unfortunately, I don't have the rest of the article.
