I just have to share my daughters first go at a stamp album. She's always wanted to help, so we found this Postman Pat album (she loves the show on Netflix) with stamps and hinges.

When she saw me using mounts, hinges would not do. I dug up some old mounts, along with some $1 grab bag stamps I bought as a kid. Then with scissors in hand to trim the paper she was off. We were chatting the whole time, but I didn't really see what she was doing until she told me she finished her pages.

Nice. There is a touch of Matisse about that layout.

Keep it for the memory because at this age she probably will not remember she did that in many years. Thanks for sharing. God bless your family. Daniel

I think it is absolutely grand for a first time effort. It taught me a valuable lesson which is trying to make things perfect when I mount a stamp. I'm sure you're one proud Dad.

We are definitely keeping it. We had fun the day before just digging through the stamps finding pinks, queens, butterflys... I think she'll have it filled one day.

I love her comments about the stamps, too. While she was finding the queens, she said, "daddy, this is the queen. When she claps her hands twice, you say 'yes your highmess?'"

I'm happy I found a way we can do this together. I am a very proud papa.

haha, Matisse.
