My eyes are getting worse, too much time in front of a computer I guess. Consequently, I'm thinking about getting some sort of projector that will allow me to project a stamp image against a white wall without digitally scanning it, or with.

I would think there is for the sight impared trying to read a book. I don't know if that would work for a stamp image or not, is it detailed/magnified ehough?

Does anyone do this?

Art, FWIW I just returned from the Eye Doctor and asked if my weakened Eye sight is from time in front of a computer and the Dr. told me that computers do zero harm to eyes, wife's tale.
Have you thought about a bigger monitor ? I use a 26" for my computer. Today's Projectors do have HDMI & VGA inputs so you could output from Computer to Projector. Do you use a Desktop or Laptop Computer ?

Might want to look into one of these. Pricey but deals can be found. Mine was almost brand new for a little more than a hundred.

1775mac, thanks for posting that link, that thing is brilliant. May I ask what the footprint is of that device ? That might be the only drawback.

One thing I was toying with getting is one of those USB microscopes.
I have seen them cheap on ebay. Magnification varies but usually 20x to 200x.
