I agree...what excuse can the Grenadines cook up? They have every advantage available to them, and still can't cook up stamps with any style.

I'm not sure who made these fakes, but there are quite a few varieties of them around.

Jammu & Kashmir has been extensively faked. Some of the nastiest are the so-called Brighton forgeries, made a century or so ago by some unknown 'photographic process'. As they were made from genuine types, they can be plated. Luckily, some of the Brightons are the wrong size, as with the genuine 2 Anna blue below and the Brighton 2 Anna alongside for comparison:



You can't read anything into the shades: the legitimate 2 Anna blues come in a range of shades, including that of the Brighton.
