After reading countless threads on 613 & 594 finds this thread is very refreshing. Jingi, congratulations on the results and sale. Placing an article in a Siegel sale is the pinnacle of philately? Also, you never stated on how you acquired the stamp. When you obtained it was it through a sale that advertised it as one? Was it part of a collection? Purchased listed as another? If you don't mind sharing it would be nice to know.

Jingi previously mentioned that the stamp was from his grandfather's collection - somewhere back up the thread!

My complete apologies,I obviously missed the page 3 post. No need for the exclamation point, did not mean to offend.

The exclamation mark referred to the length of the thread - it wasn't admonitory.

To all: Thanks!

To stamperix: Second stamp on the cup was part of my second lot - old Schaubek album with used stamps. It went for $2200.

To stallzer: Long story short > It was my grandfather's collection. Collection was well sorted # after #... So I just found the stamp where it should be . After few years of study other albums I came back to 389, found this thread, applied for the certificate and successfully sold it last week. My grandfather didn't speak english. He would never be able to get the certificate. Where he found this stamp and how??? That is something what I am also curious to know. There is no way how to ask him.

After going through all 207 pages of that album with the used stamps I think someone got a great deal... if I had seen this thread before the close of the auction I would have been bidding on it myself .. congratulations on finding the 389 . And sharing all this information because I have certainly enjoyed it
