The Metro Post same day delivery idea apparently worked in New York, but no so in San Francsico, which has suspended the program. Given that earnings were only $760 as opposed to costs of $10,288, it resulted in an initial loss of $9528 due to limited participation in the program:

I guess they can chalk it up to a trial effort that ultimately failed.

I don't know for sure, but since the service was geared exclusively to a certain set of businesses, I suspect there were special labels marked with the "Metro Post" delivery option.

I suppose those labels could become collectible, but extremely limited considering the minimal usage it had in San Francisco and that many (most) of them probably got torn and hit the trash bin long before anyone thought about it being a collectible.
