I was considering downloading and printing it out until I came across the "Single Specimen World Stamp Album." When I started calculating the costs of color printing plus a landscape binder, the "Single Specimen" album seemed to be an easier alternative. I haven't started filling it yet - I am still trying to determine how to approach the collection. I could go with inexpensive stamps, regular issues, commemoratives, or strictly classics when available. Has anyone else stared one of these collections? |

"I would hate to start it only to find that some of these stamps are unavailable or cost a fortune"
That will keep you for starting many collections if you have to be able to afford every possible stamp in the collection. |

Printed it out and just fill it as I go. I don't really actively seek to acquire stamps for it, but if I have some ww without a home, they go in. Nice secondary interest. |

I rather like KlausR's idea of choosing a unifying motif for the stamps, eg, landscapes.
I suppose that the Topicals people would be able to suggest other near-universal motifs.

Like the idea - a little like collecting type cards in cigarette and trade card collecting. I'll probably kick off along Klaus's lines in a stock-book, rather than print the pages, however. |

I purchased my copy on ebay through the seller "cliff2492." The album shipped from Terra Nova Publishing. It's printed on heavy weight off white paper with a nice padded binder. I have been mounting #1's in the album as I find them. Only a few thus far... |

I just visited the ebay and the publishers site. Unfortunately I didn't see the album, but I would inquire if it's still in print |

FYI, I contacted the publisher and was told that the album is no longer available. |

You have brought it back to Life! Now, a collection of all #1's...that could be a life time pursuit, maybe a couple life times. |

svensson - pleased to hear it, I hope other people from this thread still receive updates. I have some useful news for them. Regarding Nr.1 - we discuss it at https://www.stampcommunity.org/topi...50496#513727I am afraid it is really for more lives - depending which list you use. Do you use the 780 ASFE stamps issuing entities list ? google it and let mek now, please, thanks. |

I'm considering a collection using every entry in the Scott's catalog....although Vancouver Island already looks pretty expensive. |
