Hi,
I'm looking to buy a collection housed in a "Comprehensive Minkus World Wide" Album. While I am familiar with Scott's albums, I am at a loss about Minkus.

Is this "comprehensive" album typically for beginners, intermediate or advanced collectors? How does it compare to a Scotts International?

Thanks all!

Names and album lines change over time, and sellers will sometimes get sloppy when typing album names. If the listing is correctly described, the "Comprehensive Minkus World Wide Stamp Album" has a red binder and spaces for 30K+ stamps. That would make it an album for an intermediate collector.

The Minkus equivalent of the Scott Internationals is the Minkus Global Stamp Albums (updates up through 2011, maybe more?). Those also come in additional flavors (Supreme/Master).

I think Scott bought the Minkus line, but I don't think Minkus Global Albums are regularly updated any more, and nor do I think they are regularly printed; so you should take that into consideration.

Checkout these links. The Minkus Global Pages are available through 2013, but not exactly cheap, especially when there's two volumes, each containing 400+ pages:

Thanks for the links, wt1! Looks like Scott (i.e., Amos) is trying to revive parts of the Minkus line after all. I don't see how they can succeed unless they start printing all the past supplements as well. Or maybe they are doing that?

Supplements are available for previous years from Amos although they may need to print on demand. Just follow the link above and search.
