Hi all so far I have a very small stamp collection approx 200 to 300 stamps and they fit in a shoe box. What I was thinking of doing until I can afford the stamp album/albums I would like is buying a stock book to display my stamps rather then in the shoe box. I seen one for 20.45 including shipping, it has 32 pages by lighthouse. I'm just wondering if this is a good way to go for now and would this be a reasonable price to pay?

Sure, the Lighthouse Stockbooks will work fine.

Another option might be to purchase Vario pages. Similar in design, but separate pages that fit into traditional loose leaf binders. The advantage to them is you can move the pages around a lot easier than a bound Stockbook would allow, making re-arrangement of your stamps a lot easier.

I agree with going with the stock book or Vario pages. They will give you the flexibility of sorting and expanding. Let this cook a little while before buying a stamp album, in case your interests change.

Hi,
I agree with the above in using stock pages or the like. You are new to this and (speaking from experience) probably don't know what you will end up collecting (i.e. country (s), time period, etc.). So after you get a several hundred stamps, and determine what you really want to collect, then its time to decide on an album (or not). The thing is, if you choose an album, you should get the best (most expensive usually) you can get. Oh, and all those stock sheets you accumulated won't go to waste, for future duplicates will find a nice home there.

I just transferred my main collection from cheap Target binders to the Vario F binders with Vario pages and I love them.

This is a previous topic and the direction that I would go. No the album isn't perfect but I use the Vario pages with the album adding binders. By investing in a stock book you've nearly spent half the money already so just spend a little more and go for it.
