We all collect stamps or covers. But what about those collections that have been sitting on the shelf for the past few years and not much looked at. What are your forgotten/inactive collections?
1. Plate Numbered Coil - Not added to it in 10+ years 2. Exposition Show Tickets - Not added to it in 1 year 3. Pocket/Wrist Watch - Not added to it in 5+ years 4. First Edition Books - Added 1 book in past 15 years (Tall Grey Gates) - A story of the Salisbury, NC Civil War Prison

I think it is natural that we let parts of our stamp collection sit for a while until something sparks our interest. Many of us concentrate on one or two parts of our collection until we go as far as we can afford, then relook at another area. |

Great topic!
Not only inactive, but banned: MNHOG, which I pronounce "min-HOG", like the nasty animal. (Generally fair-minded and thoughtful, I've been enjoying overstating this opinion.)
The USPS (what with PSA, rouletting, weird numbering, selvage decor) has managed to kill my interest in plate blocks, plate number coils, and new issues.
I am ambivalent about show/event covers, which I have not been buying but, if I win the lotto, I plan to order every show/event cover on sale by every stamp club on the planet, just to sprinkle the cash around the hobby.
Cheers,

I collect worldwide but within the last two years I've given all my attention to my Canadian collection so every other country has taken a backburner. |

I been really missing my exposition ticket collection. I may have to dig it out and add too it. Recently I been focusing on local classic postmarked covers from my hometown area but recent events have ground everything to a halt but reading and study. |

My nominee for inactive collection: small collection of Montenegro that I bought in February, 1975 (yes, I still have the invoice). Finally got around last month to entering most of them; along with some other M.N. stamps; into my Scott Internationals. So, the little collection was "inactive" for 38 years, 11 months. |
