In addition to my Home Owners, my wife likes Smith & Wesson and is better at it than I.

I had to vote None as I am unsure of my home policy details on this, though if a thief would hold still long enough.... I could possibly plug him/her with a black powder pistol, or pehaps my 60 pound draw longbow. Otherwise, side of a hill well above the streambed, no tornado or hurricane zone. The greatest danger is if I have BBQ on my hands and accidentaly touch anything valuable.

John,

Off topic but, as you probably know, caps for BP was hard to come by. However, Cabalas had some in stock as of yesterday. I purchased 5K just to be safe for my new model '58. I use my Grizzly/Kodiak recurve and/or hand-made (Mohawk tribe) 50# long bow. It's good to see another with similar hobbies.

As I am German, live in Germany and am insured with my former employer, probably my vote does not count so much. Many years ago I doubled the sum insured and had the clause cancelled restricting the coverage of collections to 10 % of the sum insured.
Due to the rising prices here, I probably should increase the coverage again.
But tariffs and conditions have changed, so I do not know what expects me if I ask for a change, therefore I leave things even if the greater portion of my belongings now is not insured any more.

Hi John and Art,

I too have a longbow, a Welsh longbow, though it is often wrongly called an English longbow. Stacks up at around 65 lbs draw at 30" Not one to draw all day. It will put an arrow all the way through a straw butt at 50 yds. Handguns are now illegal in private ownership in the UK. But there is an exception for black powder muzzle loading pistols. And this includes black powder revolvers, so I have been casting an eye over Sam Colt's 0.36 cal Navy. I recently saw a guy paste out the dot at 60 yds with one of these. Most impressive. And surely the most elegant of handguns.

Don't have any weapons. I trust our alarm system in our apartment building.

I'm currently looking into getting an insurance policy to augment the protection I currently get from S&W's cousin Sig Sauer.
