Hi. Glad to see some posts. Yes (GregAlex) I had intended to just go with worldwide, but then thought the USA is part of worldwide, so might as well include that, so that NO ONE gets left out. Post whatcha got.

Very well, then! I'll start sneaking in some U.S. now and then. But slowly, so as not to overstimulate.

Here are a couple pieces of official U.S. postal stationery, one from the War Department, the other from the Post Office Dept. These would both be circa 1880s, I believe. The PO cover has a Washington Territory address, which puts it pre-1889.

Here are a few early Italy items.
The first group are 3 of Italy #1 (H&G #). Issued in 1874.
The 3 shown have 1976 (2 cancels) and one 1877 cancel. The second
card seems uprated for use to Grenoble (out of country).

The second batch are a little newer. The cards are: first two H&G # 72 issued 1929, and the 3rd H&G #55 issued 1920, uprated stamp affixed. They all three have AMBULANTE cancels (Travelling Post Office).

GregAlex: The first you show is a Scott's UO55 issued 1875. The second is a Scott's UO7 issued 1874. Hope that helps.

Victoria # 30. Issue 1908 to commemorate the visit of the American Fleet to Melbourne. This is a semi-hard to find card. Front shown first, rear view is second scan. Enjoy.

I have recently become interested in postal stationery and am pleased to have found this great thread!

This Wurttemberg correspondence card was part of a small set of cards that I recently purchased. I noticed it as being labeled "Correspondez -Karte" rather than a "post card", so it got my interest.

Below is the front and back of the card.

Can I get some help with a Michel catalogue number and a possible value?

From the Michel Ganzsachen - Katalog Deutschland 2009
which I have borrowed from the Harry Sutherland Philatelic Library

Since yours is a message-reply postal card it
would be P6 unused 60 Euro.

Lithograving,

Thank you for the information! My German is not good and I suppose something in that listing indicates how to distinguish from P5 (wow!).

I take it that P7 should be a carmine 3 Kr which mine is not.

I will look for a copy of that catalogue for my future use.

P5 is an ordinary 1 Kreuzer postal card where the sender
writes a message and mails it.

Your P6 has two parts to it, 1 Kreuzer for the message
and 1 Kr for the reply.
Thats why the catalog states 1/1 Kr grün
Your P6 has Rückantwort bezahlt written below the heading
of the message section meaning the reply has been prepaid
and Bezahlte Rückantwort on the reply section.

There is no such notation on P5

edguetzow, here is an example of a U.S. message-reply card, Scott UY2, unsevered. The "front" is cataloged PM2, the back is PR2.

Thank you both GregAlex and Lithograving

I realy appreciate the translation of this listing for my card. Not bad a deal since I got it for about $3.50 in a small set of cards.

Very nice Russian items, Battlestamps! You don't see those much.

Here are a couple from Canada -- both are intaglio engraved by the British American Bank Note Co. Also quite small, only about 4.5 x 3 inches.
