Here's the newest addition to my Esperanto collection: a postal card issued by South Korea in 2017 in honor of the 102nd World Congress of Esperanto in Seoul and the centenary of the death of L.L. Zamenhof, with first day cancellation. What makes it even more interesting (to me, at least) is that it was uprated and mailed to the Republic of Artsakh, formerly Nagorno-Karabakh, an Armenian enclave that declared its independence from Azerbaijan in 1991 but is unrecognized by nearly all the countries in the world. |

Yemen, 10 bogaches airmail letter sheet, H&G FG1. Issued March 28 1956, printed photogravure by the Government Printing Works, Rome. The red mark is on my scanner, not the item! Yemen, 6 bogaches letter sheet, H&G unlisted (but with Yemen, this is probably not too surprising!). Likely to have been issued March 28 1956, printed photogravure by the Government Printing Works, Rome. |

Here's an item from my collection. I'm not sure if it's postal stationery or just a fancy postage paid imprint. It dates from the late 70s or early 80s. What do you think? Robert |

. (Please forgive me if one of these has been posted, but we are blessed with a long thread, and I find this a difficult-to-narrow search.) WW2-era French 'familial correspondence' postal card, to wit: Quote: Carte exclusivement reservee a la correspondance familiale
Quote: Card exclusively reserved for family correspondence
It is permitted to write below a correspondence of family character of seven lines: but it is strictly forbidden to write in lines or to give news that would not have this character. It is essential to write very legibly to facilitate the control of the German authorities.
Any irregular map in form or substance will not be forwarded; its purchase value will not be refunded. Clearly, some stamp collector was keeping his head, war or no war: Cheers, /s/ ikeyPikey (who enjoys postals that come with instructions) (even from collaborators) |

Württemberg, 1871. If you don't know how to use this newfangled Correspondenz-Karte technology, there are instructions at the bottom. |

It has been a while since my last post, but here are two of the new ones I added to my collection. This is a SUDAN # 1 postal card. There are 3 versions of the basic card which came from Egypt (#3, #4, and #7) were all overprinted with the SOUDAN overprint. This card is actually a #7 Egypt. The Sudan version went on sale in 1897. so here it is: The second item is that of an envelope. I am dating this at 1962 issue time frame (My catalog doesn't go that far, but, SCOTT'S shows Sudan released an identical stamp on the date, so...) NOTE: The envelope does NOT seal. The little lip inserts into a slot on the rear side. Guess they were not concerned about theft (in those days). |

British Honduras Straits Settlements I would have had a couple of French ones to show, as well, but they were damaged in transit. |
