I have had these stamps in an old album for years and am in process of moving stamps to a Canada specific album when I noticed these two glitches.

The 723 appears to have a meteor shower going on - look by foreground streetlight and in center of sky.

The 727 appears to have a small dull orb in the sky - upper right.

I assume these are post-production blips; somehow they got scraped or stained.

But I thought I should check with experts here in case anyone as seen these "errors" before.

There are a few varieties of 723 noted in the Unitrade catalogue, but others that were new to me are found at http://www.armstrongsstamps.ca/page...rieties.html

On the $2 Kluane the round yellow seems to be a new variety as well, but unfortunately the site above takes one to the wrong stamp when clicked.

I was going to say the error on 727 is a UFO, but I decided to share my copy of 723 (723A, actually). I can't remember how I came across it - probably in an assortment box - I don't think I specifically purchased just this one item.

KD - what an amazing item. Are there any further variety items attached to it?

I haven't "fly-specked" it, but it appears normal, apart from the foldover. The perfs are OK, the tagging looks fine, and nothing seems missing in the printing when I look at it next to a normal one.

There appears to be the damaged bumper variety on the yellow car. Look for the round dot.

Mine is from the UR corner, which I believe is position 5. The error appears on positions 6-10 (the second row).
