jogil, The lowest possible price you and a seller can agree on. A lot depends on condition and possible varieties. Check ebay items sold to see what possible current value might be or dealer lists and possible auction prices realized. I don't remember what I paid for all my purchases in my 40+ years of collecting. |

Wow watermark, that is an impressive amount of re-entries involving the pence issues. I only have one involving the ½ pence perforated. Not the best of copies but the postmark adds nicely to it. Position 50 I believe: Doubling in bottom of "HALF" |

nodeli, Very nice copy of position 50 of the perforated 1/2 penny. I don't have that re-entry perforated. I do have an imperforated copy but of course it is plate position 60 since it came out of the pane of 120. The perforate issue was done with the same plate but the the plate was reduced to 100 with a loss of the first two columns of the sheet. So your position 50 of #11 is the same re-entry position 60 of #8. |

The image below shows one of the hardest to find perforated Pence Issue stamps. This is the early experimental perforation 14 X 14. These were done by Kingston Ontario Foundry circa 1852-58. Certified genuine by the Vincent Graves Greene Philatelic Research Foundation. This completes my perforated Pence Issue basic collection. Now back to work on the plate varieties. |

Another #12. this one shows the plate scratches lower right corner of stamp. This is found on Pane A, Position 31. Some references call these plate cracks but they are scratches as referenced in early works like Boggs. The right hand scratch begins above the A of POSTAGE and travels slightly to left missing the right 3 and going into the margin. The left hand scratch goes through the N of PENCE into the bottom margin and actually into position 41 below. The next piece of #12 is a pair from Pane B, Positions 65 and 66. Position 65 is a nice re-entry showing best in PENC and POSTAG. The right 3's are also doubled. Position 66 has a very pronounced short entry on the left side. A very nice pair and easy to plate. Pane B. Position 65: Pane B, Position 66: |

Since the last time this thread came around, a few stamps wandered by and I decided to invite them in to share a beer: Showed this one before: Don't think anyone has posted the position A91 re-entry yet: And the third of the set: |

the #13 is by far the rarest of all the 6d consor stamps? Not many arround for sale in comparison of the #5 or # 10 |

Two more re-entries on #12: Pane A, Position 91: Two distinct marks of doubling in the upper left 3, There are less noticeable dots of doubling in CANADA POSTAGE, THREE PENCE, around the crown area and oval bands at top. Many of the smaller marks require magnification. Pane B, Position 42 The main features of this re-entry are the lower left inner frame line is doubled, and the back of the upper right 3 is doubled actually extending into the frame line at the bottom. There are other lesser marks requiring magnification. |
