This article in Australian Stamp Bulletin March1978
concerns the printing of the 1977 $10 painting definitive.
This was the first Australian
multicolour offsetstamp issued.
Printed by Asher & Co, Melbourne on a
two colourRoland Rekord sheet fed press , the paper had to be fed twice
to print the
four colours required.
Why hadn't Asher&Co bought a press that could
handle 4, 5 or even more colours at one pass?
The 1968 Roland Rekord RVK III
4 colour offset press
was available.
Curious if that issue had many misregistered colours?
Any one know?
