I can think of a bunch of specific covers.... There's a 24c 1861 cover used from japan to the UK that was recently posted on Frajola's board that is a fantastic use.
The steel blue to the UK on a Magnus NJ Patriotic.
A couple of uses to Africa.
A 24c used via the Chicago exchange office.
A 24c used via the Detroit exchange office; I have the use but its with a pair of 12c stamps.
