There is always some kind of history behind every used cover, just not always the kind of history that adds value or interest. Your cover sees to show that mail from Augusta, GA to New York City in some unknown year in the mid 1800's required 5 days to arrive. Use several search engines to search for information on the names involved. Answers sometimes fall into your lap, sometimes take a lot of digging, and sometimes you have no luck at all.
