Hi guys...Take a look at this block of Scott #620 stamps...The 2 top stamps have the bottom of the letter "G" in the word "meeting" is missing ink..The bottom 2 are ok..I also checked my whole sheet of #620 (sorry could only get 20 of the 25 sheet of stamps on my scanner)and they were all ok..There must have been bigger sheets of these printed, or I would (if it was a constant have found them in my 25 sheet of stamps...Has anyone got these stamps to see it their's are the same as mine...See pictures below

THIS WHOLE SHEET IS PERFECT

NO INK WORD

Clearly the die just didn't take-up the ink as you can see the white outline where it was supposed to be. Neat find! You have a sharp eye Wert

I have a few singles and a PB OFDC with the partially missing G.

I'm away from home so can't check my collection, but believe that my OFDC PB is the LR, as that was the only corner that I collected (unless the inscription appeared only in another corner).

It think that variety is listed in Darnell. It is not constant but has been seen on plenty of stamps.

I found one with a broken "y" in my collection. Thanks for the pointer. This is the type of thing I like to find.

David, that site is really well done. I like the comparison showing the normal vs variety. no. 693 is fascinating. Lots of varieties on this stamp

Wert I did not know that QEII had a twin sister.

Any way let me check my stuff, I know I had a couple
of those sheets but maybe I used them up for
postage.
