The previous posters' identifications of the stamps are correct. The device in the top right corner of the first stamp is the coat of arms of Saudi Arabia. On the second, "L.A.R" stands for "Libyan Arab Republic", which is also printed on there in Arabic as: #1575;#1604;#1580;#1605;#1607;#1608;#1585;#1740;#1607; #1575;#1604;#1593;#1585;#1576;#1740;#1607; #1575;#1604;#1604;#1740;#1576;#1740;#1607; (al-jumhuriyyat al-a'rabiyyat al-libiyya) (there are supposed to be two dots over the last character in each word. My keyboard is configured for Urdu, which doesn't write that letter with the dots). In isolation, the name is spelled #1604;#1740;#1576;#1740;#1575; (libiyya). The third stamp has a slight variation on that at the top in a different font: #1575;#1604;#1580;#1605;#1607;#1608;#1585;#1740;#1607; #1575;#1604;#1593;#1585;#1576;#1740;#1607; #1575;#1604;#1604;#1740;#1576;#1740;#1607; #1575;#1604;#1588;#1593;#1576;#1740;#1607; #1575;#1604;#1575;#1588;#1578;#1585;#1575;#1705;#1740;#1607; (al-jumhuriyyat al-a'rabiyyat al-libiyyat al-sha'biyyat al-lashtarakiyya), which is something to the effect of "Libyan Arab People's Socialist Republic". |

I'm sorry-- I didn't realize the Arabic characters wouldn't display properly! Well, you can refer to the stamps to see how those words are spelled. |

Hi Rod,
The text at the top seems to be "musajil" = registered with "raqm" = number at the bottom right so a generic Arabic registration label. |

Hi Nigel, I perked up when I saw my post had been answered, then bemused on reading the result. I never expected that! I don't recall ever seeing a generic Reg. Label. Thanks Nigel PS: I'll keep an eye out for similar "R" founts, that may lead one day to ID. |

Yes, "musajil". I took a quick look online for similar, and closest ones in design I could find were for Syria. Hope that helps. |
